RICHMOND
GLOBE McLaughlin Makes Time for Residents From the Globe News Desk Although only a handful of people were present at Friday’s Meet with the Mayor session in Richmond, it was a productive one.
Cynthia and Ken Roberts were two residents who attended and voiced their concerns about their rental property being subjected to unsanitary pet care by their neighbor, Auto Expert on McDonald Avenue. “This is a health problem,” said Ken Roberts. Mayor Gayle McLaughlin promised to check further into the ongoing problem, adding she would pull in the county health department if needed. The monthly forum discussions give residents a chance to ask questions about their city and bring concerns directly to their leaders. The next monthly Meet with the Mayor session will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Wittlesey Room of the Richmond Library, located at 325 Civic Center Plaza. Healthy snacks are provided during the meetings. For more information, call (510) 620-6503. |
